ALFREDO ARREDONDO
Alfredo Arredondo brings nearly a decade of experience navigating policy and politics in and around the California State Capitol. Raised in an immigrant farmworker household, Alfredo developed an early and personal understanding of how public policy and regulation directly shape the lives of Californians – an understanding that continues to drive his work helping clients achieve their goals and successfully navigate the Capitol’s most complex political and regulatory environments.
Before joining CATALYST, Alfredo built a distinguished career working both inside the Legislature and as a registered lobbyist representing government agencies and major nonprofit organizations. His experience within the Legislature provides him with an intimate, behind-the-scenes understanding of the legislative process, allowing him to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and cultivate durable relationships with key members, staff, and Administration officials.
Alfredo has provided tailored lobbying and strategic consulting services to some of the world’s largest nonprofit organizations, land trusts, and local agencies. He has played a central role in major policy and funding battles across natural resources, water, climate, and mitigation issues. Whether advocating before regulatory bodies such as the California Air Resources Board or working through legislative and budget committees, Alfredo is known for a disciplined, results-driven approach that consistently delivers for clients.
A trusted resource not only within the Legislature but throughout state agencies, Alfredo is widely respected for his ability to identify leverage points others miss and adapt strategy in real time. His unique perspective, policy fluency, and relationship-driven advocacy make him a valued advisor in some of California’s most consequential policy and funding efforts.
