template 1 - click to view full page

template 2 - click to view full page

template 3 - click to view full page

CSGA would provide this service under the following terms:

  1. For a one-time setup fee of $200, we will create a one-page website for your society based on one of our templates, customized with information you provide us.
  2. You will tell us which domain/s you wish to use. Please go to www.netsol.com and do a DOMAIN SEARCH to make sure that your domain/s is/are available. We will purchase your domain/s for you and will charge you exactly what we pay for the domain reservation. We will send you a separate invoice for the domain costs. This invoice must be paid before your website will be published to the internet.
  3. At some future date, should you decide to take over design, maintenance and hosting of your website yourself, we will transfer control of said domain/s to you (with 30 days notice), without an additional charge.
  4. We will customize your website, host it, maintain it and ensure that your site is functioning properly on an ongoing basis.
  5. Any changes you request to your website will be done within seven days of receiving an email or written communication from you.
  6. Your new website will consist of the domain/s you designate plus any of the following:
    • your society’s name (and logo, if you wish)
    • your mailing address and other contact information
    • meeting schedule and calendar of events
    • list of officers
    • downloadable membership application
    • links to other sites and resources
  7. Complete page two of this agreement, postal mail it along with your payment ($200) to the CSGA. Once we purchase your domain/s, we will send you a separate invoice for their cost.
  8. Domains are renewed annually, but we can purchase multiple years at once, which reduces the annual fee. For example, you can purchase a domain for one year for about $35, but if you purchase a domain for five years, the cost is only about $20 per year. The only catch is that all years are billed at the time of purchase.
  9. After the first year, you will be charged an annual website maintenance fee of $30, which entitles you to one free change per twelve month period. Additional changes can be made at any time, at the cost of $30 for each additional change. We will also charge you the cost of renewing your domain/s. All fees must be paid in advance.
  10. Prior to your site going “live,” your designated contact person will be sent an email by our webmaster which will include a link to the proposed website so that he/she can see exactly what it will look like. Any changes, corrections, additions, color changes, etc. can be made at that time. Our webmaster will work with your organization to make said changes to your liking. Once you're satisfied with the website, you will email FINAL APPROVAL to our webmaster and your site will then be published up to the internet (“go live”). Any changes that must be made after final approval has been given will require a change fee of $30.
  11. Within 60 days of receiving payment and your signed, completed agreement, your website will be live. The $200 setup fee is not refundable.
  12. Should you desire a substantially different look and feel to your website other than the design of the available templates, you may contract with our webmaster directly, who will supply you with a quote for his/her services. This contract will be handled by the CSGA.
  13. The CSGA is committed to providing information to promote, assist and protect all California genealogical endeavors. We want you to be happy with your website and if, at any time, you are not satisfied with any of our services, the CSGA will do all possible to resolve your issues. We are all genealogists, too, and are dedicated to assisting you in gaining a greater public awareness and attract new members and resources to your society.

You may complete page two of the user agreement Print this user agreement form! then postal mail it along with your payment of $200 to the CSGA.
